Uma experiência inesquecível Foi uma excelente experiência! Cabo Verde, mais precisamente Ilha do Sal, é um destino cheio de tradição, autenticidade e hospitalidade. O hotel é muito tradicional e acolhedor, com uma praia excelente mesmo junto às instalações e uma piscina com uma vista maravilhosa sobre o mar. O hotel, não tendo luxo a que muitos poderão estar habituados tem o seu próprio encanto e proporciona um ambiente agradável, familiar e genuíno. As pessoas são extremamente simpáticas, acolhedoras e sempre disponíveis para ajudar. Sentimo-nos seguros a passear pelas ruas, e a gastronomia tradicional é muito saborosa, permitindo descobrir os verdadeiros sabores de Cabo Verde. Podemos dar muito mais destaque à equipa do hotel, valorizando a simpatia, a dedicação e a forma como vos fizeram sentir bem recebidos. O tour pela ilha foi também uma experiência marcante. Apesar de ser uma ilha pequena, é possível perceber que existem muitas dificuldades. À medida que nos afastamos das zonas mais povoadas e turísticas, encontramos realidades diferentes e vemos mais de perto a pobreza e os desafios que muitas comunidades enfrentam. Foi uma viagem que me permitiu desfrutar de praias maravilhosas, conhecer pessoas extraordinárias e, ao mesmo tempo, refletir sobre as desigualdades e as dificuldades que ainda existem. Cabo Verde conquista pela sua beleza natural, pela sua cultura, pela sua gastronomia e, acima de tudo, pela simpatia e pelo calor humano das suas gentes.

Hotel Bellissimo, il più bello di tutti e soprattutto rispetto ad altri ha un’anima. Non sarà un resort All inclusive ma questo ha personalità e calore. Colazione a buffet in linea con la zona, pulizia camere quotidiana con personale molto gentile e sorridente. È molto bello questo hotel, ha un che di tropiciale e ti fa sentire in vacanza ❤️ La posizione è delle migliori perché sei fronte mare e dietro hai il centro del paese + parcheggio per eventuale mezzo preso a noleggio, per non parlare della piscina sul mare e il bar dove si beve bene (ghiaccio super sicuro), personale gentile e qui fanno la pizza più buona di Santa Maria (se vi piace la pizza sottile e croccante🫠) Consigliato al 100%❤️

I know Cabo Verde quite well, but I had never really visited Sal before (as I'm not much of a beach lover). We only ended up spending two nights on the island because of an international flight. A friend who owns a travel agency (Cabo Mundo) recommended Odjo d'Água, and we're so glad she did. We almost booked a soulless Riu or Hilton instead and would have completely missed this gem. The hotel has so much character. The rooms are furnished with beautiful wood, the gardens, the little pathways and the many cosy corners make it a place you genuinely enjoy wandering around. It's owned and run by a local family, and it has something many large resorts lack: soul. The location is fantastic, right on the beach, with plenty of sun loungers and a relaxed atmosphere. The cocktails are excellent, there are actual vegan options (still far from common in Cape Verde!), and every member of staff we met was genuinely kind and welcoming. Is it the newest, most modern or most luxurious hotel on Sal? No. But honestly, everything else more than made up for it. Our room and the hotel in general were spotless, the price was very reasonable, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. This hotel has genuinely given us a reason to come back to Sal, and we will happily stay here again.

I really have nothing good to say about this hotel. The person who checked me in when I arrived (his name began with a G i think)really couldn’t be bothered. I honestly wanted to walk out, I was so miserable. The place was tired, run down and just plain dirty. My room was SO dark. The street was on one side so I couldn’t even open the curtains and on the other was a corridor where the cleaners like to chat in the mornings. I might as well have been in the cellar. I had furniture with drawers missing, towels with holes and cockroaches in my room. My fridge was barely cool and my tv didn’t work. Then there was the food. It was cold and would take forever to arrive. I ordered a salad in the restaurant just after it opened. It took nearly an hour. The worst part was the fact that, even though I was on half board (breakfast and evening meal) I still ended up paying! I was told that my particular package meant I had a 1900 credit towards the meal. I ordered a goats cheese salad, a Coke Zero, chicken in a some kind of sauce (freezing cold) and fried sweet potatoes (boiling hot). I finished with a dessert (no idea what it was because it wasn’t what I ordered). So even though I had paid for two meals a day, I STILL had to pay around 2500 escudos. This wasn’t mentioned on the hotels website or the travel company. I never went in there again for an evening meal. The staff seemed grumpy all the time and any request for anything was met with more grumpiness. Like they weee doing me a huge favour by even talking to me. Maria and another young lady who’s name began with a D were lovely though. I made her write down her name but I can’t understand her writing, sorry. Possibly Demilia? Anyway, these two were lovely. Everyone else was just rude and unwelcoming. If you’re back packing around the world, this place is ok. If you’re used to anything above a one star hostel, avoid.

Vielleicht hatten wir Pech mit unserem Zimmer, wir hatten das Zimmer zur Strasse hin und hinter einem Bankomaten. Dieser war immer gut besucht und machte Ansagen und Dingdonggeräusche bei jeder Geldabhebung. Weiters saßen die Damen der nahegelegenen Massage den ganzen Tag vor dem Hotel und telefonierten und unterhielten sich lautstark. Auch das Hotelpersonal nimmt null Rücksicht auf die ruhesuchenden Gäste und geht teils grölend und lachend bis spät in der Nacht durch die Anlage. Leider hat uns auch der Liegebereich am Strandbereich nicht gefallen. Man kann nur rund um den Pool eng aneinander liegen und über Stiegen auf einen kleinen Strandabschnitt ins Meer. Wir haben die meiste Zeit auf anderen (ruhigeren) Stränden verbracht. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr gepflegt und eigentlich ansprechend. Auch die Verpflegung war in Ordnung.

Very nice hotel, all the staff and hard working and professional. Restaurant is fantastic. You need to know there is three different menu’s for two ares of the hotel. Bar menu noon until 6pm, after 6pm restricted bar menu only. Restaurant menu after 6pm only! I really loved the mixed grill in the restaurant, loved the homemade pizza from the bar in the afternoons and the Tuna wrap in the bar after 6pm! I would like to ask the hotel to add some chopped lemon with the bar snacks. I Will visit again soon
