Das Hotel ist in der Gegend sehr bekannt, da es ein altes Familienhotel ist. Es hat von allen Hotels in der Gegend die absolut beste Lage. Außerdem erfolgt für fast alle Ausflüge eine direkte Abholung vom Hotel oder der Treffpunkt ist nur wenige Meter entfernt. Die gesamte Anlage wird sehr gut gepflegt und auch das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Die Pools sind nicht überlaufen, sodass es auch immer einen Platz für eine Liege gibt. Es gibt mehrere Bars und Aktivitäten. Es kann alles auf das Zimmer angerechnet und erst bei Abreise bezahlt werden. Das Essen selbst (Frühstück, Beach Club, Kapverdischer Abend) war okay, aber außerhalb des Hotels gibt es auch sehr viel kulinarisches zu entdecken. Leider ist die Badezimmertür beim Schließen sehr laut, da es keine richtige Klinke gibt und die Tür besteht aus Streben, weshalb es zu einem starken Lichteinfall nach außen ins Schlafzimmer kommt und alles sehr hellhörig ist. Generell aber ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Reception gave us our room key quickly, gave us a quick story about the hotel and even gave us a gift for us to keep. The room was on two floors and both were clean, aesthetically nice, with nice open balconies with a lovely view of the coast. The restaurants are good for food and drink however sometimes, due to the amount of people, it can take a while to be served. I’ve used all the facilities in the hotel (especially the games room w. a large snooker table, table tennis, darts ex.) and every one is great. Would definitely recommend that anyone visiting the area soon should 100% come to Hotel Morebeza!

Vor kurzem waren wir eine Woche im Hotel Morabeza auf Sal. Dort hat es uns sehr gut gefallen👍! Die Hotelanlage war ziemlich groß und gut gepflegt. Es gab 18 Minigolfbahnen, auf denen man kostenlos spielen konnte. Unsere Zimmer waren ebenfalls super. Es gab auch viel Stauraum und ein großes Bad. In der Anlage gab es drei verschiedene Pools, einer davon war ausschließlich für Erwachsene nutzbar. Aus der gesamten Anlage hatte man einen wunderschönen Meerblick. Zum Hotel gehört auch ein Restaurant (Beach Club), wo man essen gehen konnte. Ohne Halb oder Vollpension musste man allerdings den gesamten Preis bezahlen. Um den Pool gab es viele Liegen, die man auch mit Sonnenschirmen beschatten konnte. Man hat dort immer viele freie Liegen gefunden. Das Frühstück war nicht besonders groß, hat aber lecker geschmeckt. Zum Abendessen sind wir immer außerhalb der Anlage gegangen. In der Fußgängerzone, aber auch abseits z.B. am Strand gab es viele gute und teilweise preiswerte Restaurants z.B das Café Criolo, das sehr zu empfehlen ist. Mittags waren wir meistens entweder im Beach Club oder in der nahegelegenen Bar Olá Brail. Insgesamt war das Hotel sehr ruhig und es war nicht überfüllt. Als Ausflug haben wir sie Inseltour mit Luna Tours gemacht. Diese war auch toll! Das war ein sehr schöner Urlaub!

Abbiamo scelto questo hotel con piena consapevolezza, proprio per la sua forte presenza nella storia e nella cultura di questa isola. Purtroppo, fin dal primo giorno del nostro soggiorno, siamo rimasti estremamente delusi. La reception avrebbe davvero bisogno di miglioramenti, abbiamo avuto la sensazione di aver disturbato, perché sembravano più concentrati a seguire la partita che a farci sentire accolti. Abbiamo poi dovuto cambiare stanza perché la prima che ci è stata assegnata non era pulita; ci hanno dato una stanza Twins e noi siamo una coppia.La cassaforte non funzionava anche se devo dire è stata riparata .Quando abbiamo fatto la nostra richiesta di avere un ferro da stiro, ci è stato fatto sapere che invece è disponibile un servizio di lavanderia. Riguardo a la colazione, invece, abbiamo notato che dopo cinque giorni consecutivi offriva sempre le stesse cose, con una notevole mancanza di varietà. Per quanto riguarda la cena, le porzioni tendono ad essere piuttosto piccole; se non si sceglie l'opzione griglia, si rischia di rimanere affamati a fine pasto. La nota positiva è sicuramente la posizione e il resto del personale. Sarebbe utile che il personale addetto alla reception fosse più accogliente e preparato. Inoltre, la colazione potrebbe essere più varia e non presentare sempre lo stesso tipo di opzioni. Ho viaggiato molto e sicuramente per quello che offre e costa non ne vale la pena .

recently stayed at Morabeza in room 416 and overall had a very enjoyable holiday, with a few things that really stood out. The absolute highlight for me was the bed and pillows. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever slept so well away from home. In fact, my own bed isn’t as comfortable. Every night I had some of the best sleep I’ve ever had, which made a huge difference to my stay. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic beachfront location. One of my favourite little routines was going to the beach bar for a latte in the morning — it was consistently excellent and genuinely one of the best coffees I had on the island. The staff were always polite, professional, efficient and courteous throughout my stay. Everything was handled properly and smoothly whenever I needed assistance. The main downside was the room situation. I had booked an Executive Room through On the Beach but was placed in a Standard Room on arrival. When I raised it, I was advised to contact my travel agent rather than the issue being resolved directly. While the Standard Room itself was perfectly fine and I chose to stay put rather than move mid-holiday, it was still disappointing not to receive the room category I had booked. I later received a £50 “goodwill gesture” voucher from On the Beach, but I felt this didn’t really reflect the difference in room category and what I had paid for. That said, I didn’t want to spend my holiday dealing with stress or back-and-forth, especially in Cape Verde where the motto is very much “no stress.” A real highlight of the trip was an island tour arranged through the hotel with Nelson. He was a fantastic guide — knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Sal. It ended up being one of the best parts of the holiday and gave me a much better feel for the island. Despite the room issue, I had a really good stay. Morabeza isn’t flashy, but it’s comfortable, in a great location, and has some genuinely standout features — especially those incredibly comfortable beds. I would definitely consider returning.

I have stayed here 4 times and see it as my second home. Family run, which I like to support, quiet, peaceful, classic, classy and immaculately maintained. As a single traveller I feel safe, cared for and welcomed. The staff have always looked after me, ensuring I am ok. Sometimes travelling alone you can be ignored as a lady, but not here. Jorge security and his team have always made sure I am safe. Kanny, luna and Victor and Gigi are always friendly and helpful on the activities desk. The yoga teacher Stephan and Marina the Tao lady are fabulous. Manuel the gardener and his team passionately look after the grounds beautifully... so well maintained. Raking of sand..flowers blooming. The pool maintainance is of top care. Restaurant staff, always smiling. My room was cleaned and tidy when returning after my day. The hotel is the first one at the start of the promenade, bars, restaurants etc Live Music at night, massages for €25 and Papaya restaurant opposite for organic healthy food. Turquoise sea, golden sands and a deep feeling of peace covers you when you step onto Sal... May it stay sacred and unique 🙏
