Velmi dobrý hotel s kvalitními službami. Tento hotel jsem si vybrala kvůli jeho poloze a kvalitním službám. Hotel se nachází přímo u krásné písečné pláže poblíž městečka Malia, které nabízí velmi širokou nabídku různých obchodů a možností zábavy. Skládá se z několika menších budov (celková kapacita hotelu je přibližně 140 pokojů), které jsou velmi dobře udržovány. Moc bych chtěla ještě jednou poděkovat concierge a jejímu týmu za krásné překvapení, které na mě čekalo na pokoji u příležitosti mých narozenin. 😍😘

We stayed at High Beach from the 3rd - 6th of April. Our experience was great. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was great and the facilities are in top condition (we liked the outdoor gym the best.) Due to unfortunate weather conditions, the outdoor dinner we booked wasn't feasible - on our final day as we had a late flight the manager Vasilis organised a late check in and a complementary cab to the airport for us - such a nice gesture! We absolutely plan to return here again, the atmosphere is lovely and we had a great time. Thanks again!

We stayed at this hotel at the end of July 2026. I’ll start with the positives, and leave the negatives for the end. First of all, a big thank you to the chefs. The selection of dishes wasn’t huge, but everything was cooked very well and was genuinely delicious. If you’re coming to Crete for the sea, this hotel is a great choice. In my humble opinion, this is the most beautiful beach and sea on the island. The staff were friendly, and housekeeping did a good job keeping the rooms clean. Now for the downsides. The hotel is clearly trying to save money on water. Each guest receives only one 0.75 L bottle of water per day, and this was specifically pointed out during check-in. If that’s not enough, you’re told to order water at the bar. We tried the water served at the bar several times, and honestly, it was almost impossible to drink. It felt like it was cheaper for the hotel to serve unlimited alcohol than to provide an extra bottle of drinking water. The quality of the cocktails depends entirely on the bartender. If an experienced bartender is on duty, the cocktails are great. If not, you’re simply out of luck. Pay close attention to the hotel’s layout before booking. There is the main hotel area with the restaurants, bars, and beach within walking distance, and there is also a separate guest house area with its own small pool and sunbeds. From there, you have to walk to the beach along a public road past other hotels. If this matters to you, study the map carefully before making your reservation. There are only two bars on the entire property: the beach bar, which is open until 11:00 p.m., and the pool bar in the main area, which closes at 6:00 p.m. If you’re staying in the separate guest house area, be prepared to walk to the beach bar for drinks because the bar near the guest houses had no consistent opening hours. Sometimes it was open, sometimes it wasn’t, and there was no clear schedule. In the evenings, the beach bar becomes the only place open, so it gets extremely crowded. The bartenders and waiters simply cannot keep up with the number of guests. We had to wait around an hour for our drinks several times. Once, our order was completely forgotten. Another time, no waiter came to our table because they were overwhelmed with customers. There are also no toilets on the beach, and surprisingly, there isn’t even one next to the beach bar. The nearest restroom is back at the main hotel buildings. Speaking of restrooms, I’ve honestly never seen public hotel toilets in such poor condition. Something was always broken. At one point, the lock on the women’s restroom didn’t work. On another occasion, the foot-washing tap at the beach was out of order for several days. We also saw a cockroach in our room more than once. If I remember, I’ll attach a photo. The bathroom itself looked fairly modern, but the handheld shower was clearly worn out, and the water pressure in the sink was extremely weak. I think that’s everything. I wish everyone a great holiday and hope this review helps future guests make an informed decision. P.S. This is definitely not a 5-star hotel P.S.2. Please keep in mind that if you have a transfer by bus to this hotel, the bus cannot reach the hotel entrance, and you will have to walk for about 4 minutes to hotel.

Week here in June, loved it. Close to the nightlife for our kids to go out clubbing but far enough away to be quiet. Biggest attribute was the staff, great service and attitude (special mention to Annamaria , housekeeping- amazing and helpful). Bar drinks were good, I didn't realise there was an "ultra all inclusive" which we were not on, so some branded drinks and the adult rooftop bar we couldn't access. Food was great, and the selection was plentiful. No issues getting loungers at the beach nor by the pool.
