Very disappointing experience not what we expected. Unfortunately, our stay was far below expectations, especially considering the price and the fact that this is marketed as a family resort. We were a large family and booked 7 rooms/bungalow’s! My family was booked for a bungalow but were not given the bungalow. Instead, we were placed in a suite where you have to walk through almost the entire hotel to reach the corner room. This is extremely inconvenient with tired children after a full day of activities and dinner after 7:30 pm. Ironically, the most expensive rooms seemed to be the least convenient. On our second night, one of our rooms was randomly checked out, causing our key cards to stop working. We had to go back to reception just to have them activated again. The resort itself is very run down and needs significant updating such as the water which all our white clothes and swimwear was stained yellow (I would suggest a water filter in a 5 star resort). We didn’t even want to use the bathtub because you feel more dirty then clean after it. I also suggest rinsing your mouth the bottled water when you brush your teeth. Dinner at 7:30 pm is also quite late for families, and the children’s food appeared to be leftover food from the previous evening. The kids club being closed on a Saturday was another major disappointment and allowing the kids to play in the main bar area where billiards, table tennis and darts was taken offensively by the German guests with stares and judgment towards my kids. The resort is a Germany dropped onto the Thai coast. Germans are everywhere! German is spoken everywhere, and most activities and entertainment are geared toward German speaking guests to a point my kids didn’t even want to use the kids club. Some guests also showed a strong sense of entitlement, particularly with sunbeds being reserved with towels for hours while the guests weren’t even there. If you’re looking for an international resort with a relaxed Thai atmosphere, this is definitely not it. The staff also often looked unhappy and unmotivated, which affected the overall atmosphere and service. The towel system is another example of unnecessary inconvenience one towel station for the entire resort, with a strict one-card/one-towel policy. The entertainment was disappointing, especially Ali, who was one of the worst resort entertainers we’ve experienced. The location is very remote, so leaving the hotel generally means taking a taxi. The hotel’s own transportation is expensive and would suggest downloading an app called grab and getting your own transportation. The positives: Good dinner food (Dinner only was the highlight) and a beautiful beach. I must give credit to the executive chef whom was very accommodating and went out of his way to make a custom meal for us at the end of the stay. Overall, there are simply too many negatives for the price. Between the room issues, run-down property, poor family facilities, German dominated atmosphere, inconvenient policies and disappointing service, we would not return and would recommend families consider other resorts in Thailand.

Die Anlage ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und teils wirklich abgewohnt und ungepflegt! Beispiele: an allen Pools wächst massiv Unkraut, der Ventilator in der Villa ist alt kaputt und dreckig, an den Pools Bröseln und brechen die Fließen und die Kanten, in der Oceanfront Villa Nr. 3 in der wir die letzten 2 Tage waren sind die Fließen im Pool notdürftig mit Silikon wieder "reingeklebt" worden, auf den Wegen bröselt der Asphalt mit Teil krassen Schlaglöchern, die Liegenbereichr am Sand sind nicht gefegt sprich es liegen Steine und Äste und spitze Blütenhülsen rum an denen man sich verletzen kann etc etc etc.... Was den Service angeht: am Pool vom Terrace Restaurant gibt es 0,0 Getränkeservice und das ist wohlgemerkt der Pool für die Villa Gäste! Auf Anfrage hieß es man sollte doch das Telefon am Klo benutzen wenn man etwas bestellen will! Leute, schickt doch einfach ab und an jemand vorbei der die High Level Gäste fragt ob sie etwas trinken möchten!!! Im Bamboo Restaurant am Strand kommt nie jemand an den Tisch und fragt ob man noch was bestellen will, man muss jedes Mal zum Kellner laufen wenn man noch was möchte! Leute das sind BASICS!!! Geht gar nicht!! Essen und Preise: Preise für Wein sind unverschämt da dieselbe Flasche im Beyond Resort nebenan die Hälfte kostet!! Pad Thai und Club Sandwich im Bamboo ungenießbar! Dazu kommt dass wir auch noch bestohlen wurden in unserem Zimmer! Absolutes NoGo! Wir kommen nie wieder!!

Full of Germans - that was an oversight on my part as it's German owned. The entertainment was also in German when we were there so we left the main bar early. Happy hour is lovely at the main bar but you can't order food there. The buffet dinner is expensive to do and who wants buffet dinner and then same for breakfast. We ended up eating at the beach bar - Bamboo and the food was below average. Gave it a go again the next night but just as bad. The staff were beautiful. The negatives in my opinion, yes you have a pool close to your room but you firstly have to walk to the main pool area to get a towel before having the convenience of jumping in and have to do the same when you've had enough. That's because the hotel uses a card system for towels which is fine but to only have one station to collect from is ridiculous. The hotel is spread out and everything seemed along way away. All the pools we tried were too warm and not at all refreshing. Lack of sun loungers around the main pool and no shade. Can't use Grab or Bolt because too far out and never worked so had to pay a taxi through the hotel everytime to go anywhere - more than doublethe cost of Grab or Bolt. That was an added cost and the same with the meals. Never like a lack of choice. I think the hotel is slightly run down - lots of weeds and looks a little tired

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Für mich einfach ein absoluter Traumclub! 🌴❤️ Was soll ich sagen… ROBINSON Khao Lak ist für mich einfach ein mega geiler Club! 😍 Ich war jetzt schon mehrfach hier und jedes Mal fühlt es sich wieder besonders an. Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön, weitläufig und super gepflegt. Dazu dieser traumhafte Strand – Palmen, Meer, Ruhe und einfach dieses ganz besondere Thailand-Gefühl. 🌴☀️ Das Essen ist der Wahnsinn! Eine riesige Auswahl, abwechslungsreich, frisch und unglaublich lecker. Für mich definitiv eines der Highlights. Die Zimmer sind großzügig, sauber und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Aber was den Club für mich wirklich besonders macht, sind die Menschen. ❤️ Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und aufmerksam. Egal in welchem Bereich – man wird mit einem Lächeln empfangen und fühlt sich einfach willkommen. Natürlich darf für mich auch der Sport nicht fehlen. 😉 Die Möglichkeiten sind riesig und das Angebot lässt wirklich kaum Wünsche offen. Für mich ist ROBINSON Khao Lak nicht einfach nur Urlaub. Es ist dieses Gefühl, anzukommen und sofort zu denken: Ja, genau hier möchte ich sein! ❤️ Wer Thailand, gutes Essen, Sport, einen traumhaften Strand und herzliche Menschen liebt, sollte diesen Club unbedingt einmal erleben. Für mich ein absolutes MUSS und ganz klare 5 Sterne! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ich komme definitiv wieder! 🌴❤️

Robinson Khao Lak is our favourite destination. We have never found a holiday that matches the experience we have here. The staff are wonderful, the rooms stunning, comfortable and clean. The grounds are beautiful with lovely sandy beaches and pristine pools. There are exercise classes, hydrotherapy sessions and yoga. Our children also always have a lot to do here as Robinson caters for all ages. And the food, well, it is beyond exceptional - so many choices, all delicious, healthy, authentic. This hotel is clearly spectacularly run, and I can’t wait to come back! Thank you Robinson at Khao Lak. ❤️🌈☀️

Mein Aufenthalt in diesem Robinson Club war wirklicher super schön. Die Anlage hat alles was man braucht und der direkte Zugang zu wunderschönen Strand inklusive Strandbar ist wirklich top. Das Personal ist super super freundlich und alle meine Anliegen und Wünsche wurden zeitnah erfüllt. Auch Veganer und Vegetarier kommen hier nicht zu kurz. Ich kann diesen Club sehr empfehlen.
